~ SPECIAL EVENTS ~

New England’s historic music is rich and varied. Ancient ballads, rousing fiddle tunes, and sublime psalmody are just a few types of music that can be heard. And in each of these mentioned styles are songs of winter and the Christmas season. Music teacher Kris Paprocki will perform a concert of these seasonal songs on banjo, guitar, fiddle, and accordion. There will be an opportunity to sing along with familiar tunes such as “Jingle Bells”and “Over the River and Through the Woods.” The concert will also feature rarely performed pieces including music from 18th century Machias.

Kris Paprocki is the music teacher at Pembroke and Perry elementary schools. He has been publicly performing the traditional songs of Maine for over 15 years.
